Life and
Travels of
A Girl From
Queens
Through my lens
Chronicling odysseys through my lens, in pursuit of happiness.
Photography has been an outlet that predates my design degree. I got my first camera at age 15, and it’s been a meditative practice ever since.
I belong to the creed that values the effort it takes to cultivate a genuine point of view over the fast path of echoing trends on social media.

As a girl from Queens, I grew up surrounded by a community of working class people. Individuals who, despite having little, work tirelessly to make ends meet. Fueled by faith, whether it was religious, or faith in the American Dream.
I see photography as poetry. It lets me wander, observe & capture thoughts.

As I made my way around the world, I always ran into these people. They felt familiar. I shot portraits of them deep in concentration, absorbed in their craft, dedicated to their duties. They were almost always quietly shaping experiences that beautify and complete our world, yet remained largely unrecognized.

Myanmar, and Mongolia were countries where I felt the most out of place. Yet I live for exploring places like this on my own. Where it's just you, and the unknown.

Wherever you go, there's always a statue or brushstroke standing ready to inform and inspire, to help confront our demons and reveal strategies to overcome them. Museums are my spiritual temples, where my soul will always find solace. As long as I'm able, I'll continue to support the Arts.

I love the meditative aspect of nature. I've picked up bird watching, and learned that sometimes you just have to fly high, stay out of the shade, and stunt on your haters.

As a girl from Queens, I never imagined that I would eventually fulfill the wild ambition I had as a kid: to plant two feet on every continent of this wildly curious spinning rock we call home before I expired, or global warming removed the possibility altogether. Growing up, the odds seemed stacked against me—my circumstances hardly the fertile ground for such aspirations. Yet, my career in design became the unexpected bridge to that childhood ambition, turning it into a reality by November 2023.

This section blends personal photographs of some of my favorite travel moments with lines from one of my favorite Walt Whitman poems, 'Crossing Brooklyn Ferry', to illustrate my approach to photography, the arts, design, and life itself.
